    In this class you will learn how to create, format and save the document using MS Word. Great class for the beginners and people who need to update their skills. There are two sessions to choose from: 10am-12pm and 1pm-3pm. Seating is limited to 9 persons per session. You only need to register for one class. For more information please email vkramer@norwalkpl.org Topic covered: Navigating the Keyboard. Working with the Ribbon: Control and organize the menu bar, learn to use the buttons and menus. Handy shortcuts to accomplish your tasks effectively and create a professionally looking document. Practice session at the end.

  3. Norwalk Knights Free Library Chess Program

    This is a FREE program, provided as part of the Connecticut State Chess Association’s “A Place to Play” Initiative for the Connecticut chess community. The program is co-sponsored by the CSCA, the Norwalk Library and Red Bandit Chess. Summary: Norwalk Knights instructional chess program returns for a spring session, featuring National Master and former Knight Ian Harris of RedBandit Chess as instructor. The program is for players K-12, beginners welcome. The program will include age and skill appropriate group lessons on strategy, including chess basics, supervised practice play and other instructional and fun chess activities. Program will meet once per week on Thursdays, 6-7 PM. (There is NO class November 23). Registration is required. Register by October 3 (space is limited).
