Stand Up for Justice is a presentation to honor Joy Futaba-DeJaeger's 90 year old mother and to bring hope and inspiration to students. Stand Up for Justice is intended to inform students about the unique challenges faced by Japanese Americans during World War II and to encourage them to think critically about history and take positive action against injustice. The first 50 students (middle and high school students only) who register and come to the program will receive a free copy of George Takei's book They Called US Enemy. "One book will be given per family." Registration is open for students by calling 203.899.2780 x15127.
