Author Speak with Jim Motavalli2020-01-22T12:00:00Jim Motavalli writes for The New York Times, Barron’s, Media Village, Sierra, Autoblog.com, National Public Radio’s Car Talk and others. He is author or editor of eight books, including Forward Drive: The Race to Build Clean Cars for the Future, High Voltage: The Fast Track to Plug in the Auto Industry, Green Living and Feeling the Heat: Dispatches from the Frontlines of Climate Change and Naked in the Woods: Joseph Knowles and the History of Frontier Fakery. His latest book is The Real Dirt on America’s Frontier Legends, published August 2019 by Gibbs Smith. Its sequel, The Real Dirt on America’s Frontier Outlaws, will be published in 2020. Motavalli hosts a radio program on WPKN-FM in Connecticut, and lectures widely.

She is the U.S. researcher and writer for DK Publishing's A-Z Encyclopedia of Garden Plants and has contributed to several magazines and books, including 'Martha Stewart Living,' 'This Old House Magazine,' and IDG's Landscaping for Dummies. Jane brings more than 40 years of horticultural experience to the Arboretum. It's the story of a deep love for exotic and native trees and plants, and Dr. Francis A. Bartlett, father of arboriculture. Jane's presentation illustrates the rich history of this hidden gem! Signed copies of Jane's book will be for sale. Light refreshments will be served.
