Karen Spencer has traveled the world, camera in hand,
photographing people, places and things with her artist’s eye.
Karen, who spends 6 months of the year in Mexico, worked as
a graphic designer and art director for advertising agencies in
New York City, New Orleans and Fairfield County, Connecticut
and her own firm, Spencer Graphics.
During her travels abroad she found that the creativity in
photography offered a way to capture unique moments in
time. In the village of Ajijic, she has been captivated by the
symphony of colors that bombard the senses at every turn,
and has endeavored to bring forth the joy and wonder so
unique to this area of Mexico.
“The play of light and shadow in a doorway, the shy smile of a child, the wise eyes of an old woman – theseare the images that resonate with me and that I hope to share through the photographs I take.”
