The Gift of Rudy, Sharon Ruchman, an American classical music composer, musician and now author, chronicles the life and tragic death of her great uncle, Rudolph 'Rudy' Fuchs, an up and coming musical prodigy in the early 1930s. She looks back at her authoritarian upbringing plagued by guilt and a lack of self worth all the while discovering how tracing Rudy's past frees her musically, giving her life richness and contentment, It's a compelling story of two musical careers within the same family - Rudy's ending at the age of 25 in a plane accident and Sharon's blossoming in the 21st century after Rudy's sheet music for violin and his prized viola find their way to her.

Short films The Story of Stuff and The Story of Solutions, will be shown preceded by a clip of youth climate activist Greta Thunberg speaking at the recent Climate Summit.
This evening will explore walking a lighter path on our planet, at home, and in our city, from reducing our waste-streams and use of plastic to saving energy and reducing our personal carbon footprints—every day!
? September 20 is also a special day for students in Norwalk and around the world as Greta Thunberg and committed young people have declared September 20th a day of Climate Crisis by asking students and adults to participate in a daytime Climate Strike around the world.
? We will end the evening with useful action lists, a brief Panel Discussion and a visit from a Special Guest.
