  3. "Rocket Launching with the Discovery Museum of Bridgeport"

    The Norwalk Public Library and Discovery Museum staff have opened the partnership's hands-on-rocket launching program. Students and other library visitors will have the opportunity to engage with Discovery Museum staff in Engineering Design asking questions, brainstorming solutions, building prototypes, testing, evaluating, and redesigning their own paper rockets. Hours Now thru August 4th Sundays: 1 pm - 5 pm Mondays: 11 am - 7 pm Tuesdays: 11 am - 5 pm Wednesdays: 11 am - 7 pm Thursdays: 1 pm - 5 pm Fridays: 2 pm - 5 pm Saturdays: 1 pm - 5 pm

    The Norwalk Public Library has become an official Passport Application Acceptance Facility. U. S. Passport applications are accepted on a first come, first served basis. 1St Time Applicants Lost/ Stolen Passports Children's Renewals (Bring a completed DS-11 Passport Application Form) Please also bring A recent Passport Photo-2X2 Valid Driver's License, State Identification Card, Employee ID or Military ID Your original Birth Certificate or Naturalization Certificate (Certificate will be returned to address on your DS-11 application) Passport Fees Check or money order (NO CASH) made out to the U.S. Department of State will be accepted in the amount of $110.00 for adults and $80.00 for children, and a $35.00 fee by check or money order made out to Norwalk Public Library.   4. Seed Club Meeting at Fodor Farm

    Rain of Shine! All are welcome! This event is free! Cathy Smith and Nancy McClelland, members of the Pollinator Pathway Organization, will be giving us a tour of the beautiful gardens around the historic main house of Fodor Farm. These lovely gardens were designed and planted by Nancy McClelland with the help of talented gardeners May Verel, Patricia Hein, and Mary Kay Rotante, The plants were purchased by Fodor Farm in a generous effort to help save the pollinators. Seeds! Cathy Smith will be sharing her seed knowledge with us! Topics will include "self-sowers", "preparing the ground", and saving seeds." Finally, we will take a peek at our gardens in the community garden lot! I know a few of us have gardens there, and I can't wait to see what we've all been up to!
